After every story on the news from the capture of a serial killer, to tragic stories like mass shootings, always comes some sort of "alternate" idea of what really happened. A Conspiracy Theory is "a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators".
In December of 2012, "the second deadliest school shooting in U.S. history" (The Associated Press) took place at an elementary school in Newtown, CT. From this tragedy, came tons of conspiracy theories. One claim that it was a hoax sticks out because of the popularity of the video.
This particular theory was created by a group who believes that the whole school shooting was a conspiracy patched together by liberals just to promote tighter gun control laws.
Some details that this video takes issue with include the following:
There was more than one gunman.
Police were seen chasing a man through the woods by the elementary school, so he must have been a part of the shooting. The media showed an intense chase, going after who was supposedly the second shooter, through the woods and police capturing Chris Manfredonia, the father of a child who attended the school.
The number and type of guns the shooter used.
Shooter Adam Lanza used a Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifle as
his weapon of choice. Creators of the video banked on footage of police
removing a long gun from the trunk of Lanza’s car. “This reveals the ‘Big Lie’ of the mainstream media … the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle was left in Lanza’s car,”(Alex Jones, NaturalNews) turns out the gun removed from Lanza’s car was a shotgun
he never used. Lanza brought three guns inside the school, the AR-15
and two handguns; all of which were found inside the school.
This video fixated on Rosen’s account of that day. He sheltered six children during the shooting, but theorists have alternately claimed that Rosen’s accounts are generally suspicious. They have also claimed Rosen was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Rosen and the bus driver contacted the childrens parents, four of which came to pick them up and the other two he dropped off at the fire station. Is is possible that he shares a name with someone in SAG?
No one, not even the parents, looked sad.
This claim is just absurd. Every human being mourns in their own way, and just because media doesnt show every tear shed for this horrifying event does not mean it was fake.
Overall, this production of a so-called "hoax" is absolutely ridiculous. Imagining what the family of these victims has endured is almost impossible with and without harassment like this. It really is a shame that some people have so much time on their hands and so much knowledge but choose to waste it on hurting others.
Not to mention... its not as if the government couldn't pull off something like this flawlessly if they wanted to.
Holy crap that was a 30 minute video at the end there, but it was awesome... except I kind of want to move to Canada now... thanks... =\
ReplyDeleteAll these theories kill me! I agree with Tony 30 minutes is pretty long (now addig to my confusion on what is the truth). I cannot believe "Robbie Parker" at about 9 minutes into the video! The more I watch the video the more my trust for the news decreases and I feel sick to my stomach.
