Media is such a broad topic...
Since we've stared talking about it in class, I've realized just how broad it really is.
It comes in all forms. From the time you wake up until the time you lay your weary head to rest, you are exposed to the "Power of Media".
"Media is like socialism... it is always changing but it is controlled."
When I hear "media", I think news, when I think news, I hear gunshots in school cafeterias, bombings in federal buildings, and ranting activists. The media now is nothing more to me than what some "news" pundit read, while horrifying images are put on display. I've heard people ask before why they don't just call those delivering the news actors and actresses. Whether you're poison is CNN, NBC, FOX; they all might as well be Warner Bros or Dreamworks.
What I'm trying to say is, if you typically like being spoon-fed BS, I would suggest tuning into your local news station.
"Everyday millions of people are infected with MILF or the Media Intimidation Labeling Factor. This means, whatever happened on that normal tempered day in your hometown could be spun into epic proportions just by simply going viral.
Strap on your goggles and earmuffs to protect yourself from unsafe media." (Gregg Greener)
Note: Rare side effects include mindlessness, regurgitated news tourettes, and sheer ignorance.
